More Information
We will be exhibiting Wendy’s pottery at the St. John’s 4th Annual Spring Craft Fair in Walpole, New Hampshire, on Saturday, May 1, from 10:00 to 3:00. The fair will take place in the Walpole Middle School Gym off Main Street. Please come — we’ll have a ton of new stuff straight out of the kiln!
Pottery by Wendy Thorpe Allen is now a member of “Made in New Hampshire,” a state-wide organization whose mission is to strengthen New Hampshire’s state economy by increasing the awareness and demand for New Hampshire-made products and services and providing the support programs local businesses need to grow.

Wendy is also a member of the New Hampshire Potter’s Guild, a juried member of the Cheshire Craftsmen, and a founding member of the Quality Crafts Cooperative.
We’re back from our last craft fair of the year, and soon will be updating our gallery of wares here on the site.
Wendy participated in a “Raku” firing at the Sharon Arts Center on Friday. The Raku process involves taking your pots out of the kiln while they are glowing red-hot and plunging them into a barrel of shredded newspaper (or sawdust or something similar), and closing the barrel. Not only is this fun and exciting, it creates what’s called “chemical reduction,” which can lead to some fantastic effects in the glazes.
Look for our Raku lamp bases (a new product for us), earring holders, and jackolanterns! (coming soon…)
