Important Information

About what you see versus what you get:

These wares are handthrown and hand glazed, and as such there will be variations in size, shape, and color, even in “matched” sets. Each piece really is beautifully unique! In the case of production runs, such as a standard sized bowl for example, the photographs shown here are representative, but may not be of the actual piece you will receive.

About what you order and if we’re out of stock:

We only have a limited inventory, and all items are subject to prior sale. We endeavor to keep the store listings up to date, but in the event that you purchase something that we no longer have in stock, we will contact you to ask if you would like to substitute something else, wait until we can make what you ordered, take a credit towards a future purchase, or receive a refund via PayPal or check.

About the care of your pottery:

All of our stoneware is oven, freezer, microwave, and dishwasher safe! But while these items are durable and could serve you well for a lifetime, they are still subject to breakage and do require proper care.

Our Raku-fired pieces are for decorative use only and are not meant for use with liquids, especially wet foods or drinks.

About your privacy:

When you interact with us through this website—leave a comment, send a feedback form, subscribe to our mailing list, purchase pottery—we retain your e-mail address and other information to use for the specific purposes for which you submitted it (e.g. to recieve our e-mail announcements). Rest assured that we will never share your e-mail address or other information with anyone else (unless, of course, you are recommending our site to someone yourself).

We reserve the right to edit and/or delete any or all comments. We also monitor the messages you send when recommending our website to others.

About your credit card:

We use PayPal to process credit card payments, but that does not mean that you need to have a PayPal account. However, in addition to your card number, expiration date, CCV, and name, you must also supply your address, telephone number, and e-mail address (just as you would with any online or mail order purchase). But PayPal is a secure site, and in our experience they are very proactive about protecting the integrity of your data. They do not share your credit card details with us, just the information we need to process your order. A receipt for your credit card transaction will be sent by e-mail. We will be listed on your statement as PAYPAL*POTTERY WTA (or PAYPAL*POTTERY BY WENDY).

About shipping your order:

Pottery is somewhat fragile, and relatively heavy, both of which make shipping kind of difficult — wouldn’t you rather pick up your pottery in person at one of our exhibits? ;-) Anyway, we endeavor to pack your pottery appropriately, and try to get your order on its way to you within a day or two of receiving it (usually). Smaller orders generally go by USPS Priority Mail, while larger orders may be better sent by UPS Ground (other forms of shipping may be possible on request). However the shipping goes, we take pains to keep you informed of the status of your order at every step.

If you have any questions or concerns about our policies, please contact us.
